Lemme explain why I'm not reviewing "Transformers"...

First, I must apologize to Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. Sorry, guys, but I simply cannot give Megan Fox my hard-earned money.

What do I have against Megan Fox? Well, she dug herself a hole when she called Wonder Woman a "lame super hero". We've all seen that fan-made poster of her as the Amazon Princess, but down, you fanboys. She's not only not interested, but she spits on this iconic comic book super hero that portrays what it means to be not only a woman with special abilities, but also a diplomat for her people and solid, contributing member of the Justice League and Justice Society. This is simply unacceptable.

Plus, she's not a real girl. (see vid that Megan Fox is really part CGI and animatronics http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXsd5aw8oas )

So, there. Transformers2, I shall see you when you hit the Red Box. zen layeth the smackdown. :cocks eyebrow:

Comment by SciFi Mafia® on July 15, 2009 at 4:47am: I totally agree DA, the Autobots hand the Decepticons their asses (and a few other parts) in ROTF. I am an unrepentant 'Bay-Splosions' fan though. I know his flicks aren't high brow or intellectually off the charts but I just take them for what they are.. which is simply fun, or "Bayhem" as I like to refer to them. I love intelligent and introspective movies as well (Sci-Fi and others). There's no reason you can't enjoy both!

Comment by Drunken Scholar on July 14, 2009 at 12:54pm: You should watch transformers 2, because unlike the first one the Autobots bring their A Game. The Robot on Robot Violence is much clearer in the shooting and Optimus Prime doesn't get his ass handed to him like he did in the first one.

My children watch and loved them in their youths and me as their Mother came to love them too. Optimus Prime and Bumblebee are my favorites. Everyone knows Megan Fox is not an actress...she just fell into something that turned into a megahit. Good or bad it is a hit!!!

No, I agree with ya. I did hear that about Transformers2 as well, but that's not my initial reason for not wanting to see it. Still, I gotta give props to v/o actors for keeping with the continuity of their characters.
